What Is GDPR?

GDPR is a regulation that lays down rules relating to the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and rules relating to the free movement of personal data. The regulation protects fundamental rights and freedoms of natural persons and in particular their right to the protection of personal data. Now it becomes important that companies manage data in a transparent manner with the customer’s consent.

GDPR - “General Data Protection regulation” which adopted on 14 April 2016 and it was implemented and came into effect since 25 May 2018. GDPR is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy in the European union and the European economic area. GDPR is an important component of EU privacy law and human rights law.

GDPR Regulation

The regulation applies to an organization that collects data from EU residents and a company that processes data on behalf of a data controller like cloud service providers or the data obtained person is based in the EU. The regulation does not apply to the processing of data by a person for a "purely personal or household activity and thus with no connection to a professional or commercial activity. If these GDPR laws has breached then the corresponding organization will have to pay a fine of €10 million to €20 million or upto 2% to 4% of the annual worldwide turnover of the preceding financial year.

Aligning With GDPR Terms

Privacy & Accountability

All the features, implementation roadmap, Product framework and other product related ideas has been designed and developed based on our privacy policy values protocols of TeleCMI and follows the GDPR principles of providing rights of individuals under GDPR.

Our privacy policy has been designed and structured with accountability from TeleCMI core team and top management. We strongly enforce protocols that are strictly maintained for the data protection through our list of policies and product development procedures.

Organisations and Businesses information can be stored and retrieved as per TeleCMI privacy policies designed for the users. Customers or businesses subscribed to TeleCMI products data are stored and managed as per GDPR guidelines.

Right To Be Forgotten

TeleCMI business phone system which follows the protocols of GDPR guidelines through which it assures that it protects all the customer data associated with the account. It includes customer and agent profile, Customer chats, support tickets and Other CDR details.

TeleCMI allows admins to delete or edit the agent details from the dashboard during the agent management time. TeleCMI allows admins to change the agent contact number and to add or remove a particular agent from the respective teams.

TeleCMI manages the agent information like call history, agent-based history, call recording and CDR details with high quality firewall security system. All the information displayed in the admin dashboard for call management are strictly designed based on GDPR guidelines.

Right To Portability

TeleCMI allows customers to export data into the dashboard. Customers are allowed to export IVR music files and Contact details. TeleCMI export model works and validates based on the GDPR guidelines. Customers are allowed to perform export or data portability by following GDPR compliance data structure.

Right To Rectification

The GDPR includes a right for individuals to have inaccurate personal data rectified or completed if it is incomplete. End-users and agents in TeleCMI can rectify any errors in their personal data by editing their profiles.

Right to rectification has been designed based on the GDPR terms and this will get updated on time to time basis depends on the progress and our features implementation roadmap.

Whether My Data Should Be On EU Data Centre?

GDPR does not require EU personal data to stay in the EU, nor does it place any new restrictions on the transfer of personal data outside the EU. GDPR only mandates that such transfers be legitimized through any of the mechanisms provided in the regulation.
